BERNER’S KRIENS FOURTH HEADING INTO BREAK

Manager of Swiss Challenge League outfit SC Kriens, Bruno Berner, has overseen a solid start to the campaign that sees his team take fourth place in the division heading into the international break.

Kriens, who were promoted to the second tier in Berner’s first full season in charge, emerged 3-2 winners over Winterthur on home soil in their last fixture before the fortnight break. Prior to that, Berner’s side also enjoyed an opening day victory over Chiasso, with a 4-1 win on the road against Taverne in the Swiss cup sandwiched between league defeats.

The club’s next fixture is in the Swiss Cup, where Kriens will entertain Stade Lausanne Ouchy.
