Bruno Joins Panel to Discuss Swiss Fortunes

During the October international break, Bruno Berner returned to Teleclub Sport 1’s EXTRATIME to join the panel in discussing the fortunes of the Swiss international side.

Bruno, who himself represented Switzerland on 16 occasions during his playing career, joined presenter Annette Fetscherin and fellow former-Swiss international Georges Bregy, who earned 54 caps representing Switzerland between 1984 and 1994.

Commencing the show by reviewing the nation’s 3-2 win over Hungary in World Cup qualifying on Friday 7th October, Bruno and the panel focused on the form of three of the team’s key players and their respective roles in the side – Haris Seferović, Valentin Stocker – who came off the bench to score Switzerland’s third against Hungary – and Nico Elvedi, who made his starting debut for Vladimir Petković’s side against Hungary and was coached by Bruno during his time with FC Zurich’s academy.

Ahead of Switzerland’s World Cup qualifier away to Andorra later that evening, a game that the Swiss would win 2-1, Bruno and the panel also previewed the nation’s second game in three days.
