Bruno Berner is the new head coach of Swiss Super League side, FC Winterthur, signing a two-year contract with the newly-promoted club.

The move sees Berner leave his role as Swiss U19s manager, and having previously managed in the second and third tiers with SC Kriens and FC Tuggen, this will be his first opportunity in the top flight of his homeland.

Winterthur were promoted from the Challenge League last season and will play Basel on Saturday 16 July, before facing St. Gallen away and Lugano at home.
